DATA SOURCES
Anem Weather does not operate its own weather balloons. Instead, we act as a low-latency, high-readability terminal for the world’s most advanced national meteorological agencies. Our primary routing is powered by Open-Meteo, dynamically selecting the highest-resolution model for your exact coordinates.
GLOBAL & REGIONAL MODELS
ECMWF IFS
European Centre for Medium-Range Weather ForecastsWidely considered the gold standard for global forecasting. We use ECMWF for medium-range predictions, offering unmatched accuracy across 6 to 15-day timelines globally.
NOAA GFS & HRRR
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (USA)The backbone of North American forecasting. The High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) model updates hourly with a 3km grid, powering our ultra-precise short-term forecasts in the US.
ICON D2 & Global
Deutscher Wetterdienst (Germany)Germany's national operational model. ICON provides 2.2km high-resolution coverage across Central Europe with exceptionally accurate precipitation physics.
AROME & ARPEGE
Météo-France (France)Operating on a 1.25km grid, AROME resolves deep convection, giving incredibly accurate localized rain and storm cell data across France and adjacent territories.
JMA & GEM
Japan Met Agency & Canadian Met CentreRegional dominance is guaranteed using JMA for Japanese territories and the Global Environmental Multiscale (GEM) model for high-latitude North American precision.
SPECIALIZED DATA
UK Admiralty & Tidal Data
United Kingdom Hydrographic OfficeTidal movements and harmonic data are pulled directly from UK Admiralty stations. Combined with Open-Meteo tidal models, this powers our Beaufort scale integration and coastal predictions.
UK Flood Monitoring
Environment AgencyReal-time severe flood warnings and alerts for England are retrieved directly from the Environment Agency under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Meteoalarm
EUMETNET (Europe)All severe weather warnings (gales, floods, extreme heat) are piped straight from the authoritative European network to power our unmissable drop-down ticker alerts.
Air Quality Index
CAMS & European Environment AgencyReal-time pollutant modeling (Ozone, Particulate Matter, Nitrogen Dioxide) utilizing the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service.
